We are not Better World N.V., and we do not run any gambling site.
We are an independent project that writes about ethics in the gambling industry. The names are close, so people mix the two up, and we get messages regularly asking whether we are them, whether we run one of their brands, or whether we can get someone’s money back. We cannot. We have never held your money and you have no account with us.
This page explains who Better World N.V. is, what we make of it, and what you can do if you have ended up dealing with one of their sites.
What and who is Better World N.V.
Better World N.V. is a gambling company registered in Curaçao. (N.V. is a Dutch company type, roughly like “Ltd”.) Its company number is 132488, and it holds a Curaçao online gambling licence, number OGL/2024/836/0401, issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority, also shown on sites as the Gaming Control Board or GCB.
It operates online casino and betting brands. The one we have confirmed most recently is Noxewin (noxewin.com). Noxewin’s own licence certificate, which opens on the regulator’s cert.gcb.cw domain, names Better World N.V. as the operator, with company number 132488 and licence OGL/2024/836/0401. Its footer says the same in plain words: “Noxewin is a brand name of Better World N.V.” The registered address given is Groot Kwartierweg 10, Livestrong Building, Curaçao.
The same footer names a second company, Herpestidae Services Limited, registered in Cyprus under number HE 410029, described as a wholly owned subsidiary of Better World N.V. that handles management, payments and support.
Other brands are they use are Royaleorbit.com and Spinrave.world.
Two things are worth knowing about how these sites work in 2026.
The brands change. New ones appear and others disappear. So a list of names is out of date almost as soon as it is written.
And the sites hide the operator. Many of them open on the same template and tell you nothing about who runs them until you create an account and login.
How to check who really operates a site
Scroll to the footer and find the licence seal, usually a small “GCB” or “CGA” badge. Click it. A real one opens a certificate on the cert.gcb.cw domain. Read the company it names and the licence number.
If it names Better World N.V. and licence OGL/2024/836/0401, the site is one of theirs.
If the seal opens nothing, or the certificate does not match the site you are on, treat that as a warning. We have seen at least one site, winthemoment.vip, display Better World N.V. and this licence number while, according to the review site LCB.org, holding no valid licence at all. So a name in a footer is a claim. The certificate is the proof. Trust the certificate, not the footer.
Their reputation
We will be honest about the limits of what we know here.
We cannot give you a verified account of Better World N.V.’s reputation, and we will not repeat as fact things we have not been able to check. People have written to us with complaints after mistaking us for them or one of their brands. We have no way to confirm those individual cases, so we do not present them as proven.
The bigger picture matters more than any single brand. Curaçao is a common home for offshore online casinos. For years it ran one of the loosest licensing regimes anywhere, with little state oversight and almost no recourse for a player in a dispute. The regulator does not step in to settle disputes between you and an operator. A new law, the LOK (the National Ordinance on Games of Chance, in force since December 2024), has replaced the old system and is meant to tighten it. Whether it improves things for players in practice is still an open question.
Our opinion
We have received complaints about brands in this space, and that shapes how we read them, even though we cannot verify each one.
We are sceptical of Curaçao licences in general. A licence is supposed to mean protection. On a Curaçao licence, historically, it has meant very little once something goes wrong, because the regulator will not settle your dispute for you. The new law may change that. We are not yet convinced it has.
We are not saying every Curaçao-licensed operator is dishonest, but the floor of protection is low, so most of the risk sits with you rather than with the operator or the regulator.
Our recommendation
If you still want to play on a site like this, here is how to protect yourself.
- Test before you trust. Deposit a small amount first and make a small withdrawal before you put real money through. See whether the payout actually arrives, and how long it takes, before you rely on the site.
- Expect problems and prepare for them. Keep screenshots of your balance, your bonuses and the terms you agreed to. Save every message with support. If a dispute starts, you will need your own records, because no one else is keeping them for you.
- Choose an operator with a stronger licence and a track record. Regulators from countries like Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Malta ask more of operators and give players more recourse. They are not perfect, but the floor is higher than in Curaçao.
- Set your limits before you start. Decide a deposit limit and a loss limit in advance, and use self-exclusion tools if you need them.
- Be careful with crypto. If you pay in cryptocurrency there is usually no chargeback and no bank to appeal to. Once the money has left your wallet, it is gone.
- Do not take a casino’s own marketing as evidence. Screenshots of watches, cars and giant crypto wins on the site’s own homepage are advertising, not proof that people get paid.
We currently do not recommend any operators. We used to be, but are currently not an affiliate.
Check the law where you live
Most countries have gambling and online gambling regulated making some or all forms legal or illegal. You are bound to the law of the country where you reside in. Depending on your situation, a Curaçao licence does not make a site legal. In some places, playing on an unlicensed offshore site leaves you with no legal protection at all, and in others it is against the rules.
If you are in any of the following countries, only sites with a license of the regulator in that country are legal and any other license is not valid for that jurisdiction (This list is not extensive. For a full list of countries and there status, search online, there are plenty of sources. We are not linking to any because we don’t want to seem like we are endorsing anyone)

Canada and the United States are special cases. They regulate per state. Some are and some are not regulated.
Make sure you check up on the status of regulation in the country or region where you reside. That you can make an account and that the operator excepts you and takes your money is NO guarantee that what they are doing is legal!
If gambling is causing you harm
If gambling is costing you more than money, help exists and it is free and we urge to to seek it. There is nothing shameful about a gambling addiction. The games were designed in ways that make them addictive and addiction is a complex topic with many factors: biological (your genes), psychological, social and the different types of gambling products and their characteristics. If you experience harm, it is not your fault and you can always get help.
Most licensed sites offer deposit limits, time limits and self-exclusion. Use them. You can exclude yourself and block sits with BetBlocker, and also register with a national self-exclusion scheme where one exists. If you want to talk to someone, contact a national gambling-support helpline in your country.
Note: You must be 18 or older to gamble. Please gamble responsibly. Always with your own money, after having paid the bills, set limits and play for the right reasons. Gambling costs money and winning is never guaranteed and hence gambling is never a form of income.
